Cancun

The little blond girl next to Lois at Chichen Itza was a Danish college student studying in Cuba for a semester. She had very interesting stories about how life was in Cuba. The girl next to her is a flight attendent from Spain. Very nice kids.

Little bazookas...

Very relaxing...nice...the white stuff in the water is really sun reflections showing at higher grain because I magnified this shot.

Lois, Robin, Mert and Bob of our gang having breakfast...

Now this is a great bunch of friends...

Bob L, Robin L, Vic S, Lois S, Mert K and Bob K - the great gang.

Must excursions from Cancun: Chichen Itza, and Xcaret (pronounced "shkarett") - a great experience.

Mert, Bob, Lois and Vic in the half mile or so swim in the underground river in Xcaret. It was 61 degrees F, your body adjusts in 1-2 minutes, and it was a fantastic experience.

The vacation is ending...

The bottom line in Cancun: The water is not the best in the Caribbean, but nice. The beaches are nice. There are excellent restaurants, but you can get sick if you eat away from the tourist area. The hotel water from the sink is unsafe to drink at many hotels, so you need to keep bottled water. This place is excellent for shopping, probably the best in the Caribbean. Hotel services are good. If you get diarrhea, you can buy an antibiotic at any pharmacy without prescription called Cipro, the remedy for such problems, but you need to give your stomach a rest for 2-3 days to recover. There are people trying to sell you things on the beach and the streets. Silver is very inexpensive and Sterling quality. Especially when you buy it from vendors who walk the beaches. Negotiate the price everywhere - which I just love to do.
