Victoria, BC - The City of Gardens Canada

I decided to leave many of the pictures below in high resolution and large. That way the color remains vibrant. The disadvantage is that this way the picture-loading takes a lot longer.

Victoria is a great summer destination if you like an English colonial setting, English customs like High Tea (They do it very well here!), beautiful scenery, great seafood, real American indian totem poles and northwestern indian history (great museums). Butchart Gardens is one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, as you can see below. The harbor is fantastic. Very active with sea planes going to and from Seattle and Vancouver every half an hour. Very scenic place. And the city has great restaurants!

Victoria Harbor: Beautiful dogs - Bernese...something...

On Murray's boat. Storm is coming. We got caught in it.

On Murray's boat, we caught some Dungeness Crabs. Never heard of it before. I am not a seafood lover. What a surprise this was. Murray steamed them for lunch, and it was more delicious than the best lobster I ever had.

Victoria Harbor - a really cool place.

I wish I took more pictures. The Victoria trip was really great. Murray and Diane were excellent hosts, and Victoria is a very scenic and pleasant city. We highly recommend it!
